The Palestine Exchange (PEX) closed on Monday at 487.88 points, losing 0.37% or 1.79 points. The general index fell 0.31% or 0.80 points to 260.79 points.
Trading volume reached 87.4 THD shares, at a turnover of $199.3 THD, traded through 58 transactions by 14 companies, of which two gained, six dropped and six remained unchanged.
The top two gainers were: Arab Islamic Bank by 0.91% and Bank of Palestine by 0.72%. Whereas, the top three decliners were: Global Com Telecommunication by 11.11%, Palestine Electric Co by 3.51% and Jerusalem Pharmaceuticals Co by 2.78%.
The most active companies were Ahleia Insurance Group, Bank of Palestine and Ramallah Summer Resorts Co with a trading volume reaching 21.4 THD, 15 THD, and 10.1 THD shares respectively.
Meanwhile, Ramallah Summer Resorts Co, Bank of Palestine and Palestine Telecommunications were the value leaders, upon generating $46.2 THD, $42 THD and $39 THD respectively.
On the sectors level, the investment, the industry and the service indices dropped 1.41%, 0.37% and 0.18% respectively, whereas the banking and financial index added 0.19%.
